New Range Rover Caught by a Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG

New Range Rover 2013 prototype was caught while testing on Dubai by a Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG driver. It is very easy to identify the monster Mercedes V8 Kompressor engine!

And from the footage, the major lines of the new Range Rover is very clear. And I can say one thing, Land Rover did not take a risk to introduce a fully refresh Range Rover. Instead, Land Rover re-interpret the well respected Range Rover design shift into a higher level. This re-interpretation of design is done by Bentley Continental, Audi A3. Because, including Range Rover these vehicles receive really high demand from customers and people are willing to own one. Therefore, manufacturers do not wish to take a risk and introduce something totally different, instead they introduce a car that looks a bit similar to previous generation. So, existing customers will be buy it and existing fans will keep loving it.

However, in my opinion a new car needs to be a new car. Especially in terms of design. You never see a Maserati or a Ferrari or an Alfa Romeo with similar lines with previous model. I do not criticise the manufacturers and I do understand the huge risk of introducing a totally new design for a vehicle that has very solid sales performance.

Still, I go for the Mercedes-Benz G Wagon :)

Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake: Coupe Estate

Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake is now revealed to press. CLS Shooting Brake is a coupe looking estate car, this does sound a bit unusual but welcome to new world! There are three engine option and impressive high quality interior. My suggestion for CLS Shooting Brake, with this high quality in details will attract new customers who previous do not wish to own an estate car.

CLS Shooting Brake is packed with technology, luxury as usual. Actually, Shooting Brake is a luxury a estate car. Mercedes E-Class do offer estate but E-Class does not offer the same level of luxury like CLS. Now, we have the CLS Shooting Brake.

CLS Shooting Brake offers; electric steering wheel, LED headlights, active park assist, distronic plus, bas plus and other safety systems that are currently available with CLS sedan.

The best bit of CLS Shooting Brake is the wooden luggage compartment floor that creates an outstanding ambience. And I hope it is scratch resistant and not optional :)

McLaren changed their Facebook Page's cover photo last night with a new one. This does not sound interesting but, this new cover photo of McLaren is a cabrio version of MP4-12C! Probably it will be called MP4-12C Spyder

Jaguar XJ Supercharged: Again

Jaguar XJ Supercharged, I mentioned about XJ before and I don't like to repeat the same topic. However, I really love the XJ Supercharged! It is one of the best alternatives to Maserati Quattroporte. I do know that XJ diesel models are largely driven by a chauffeur, instead of the owner. However, XJ Supercharged is a car that has to be driven by its owner!

The supercharged V8, sportive chassis, communicative steering wheel instantly change your perception and you think that XJ is not a big car! I think that the perfect word to describe Jaguar XJ Supercharged, it does not feel like it is big. Therefore, XJ is fun to drive.

I know, German rivals may offer more options but they are more expensive. XJ looks amazing, drives great, passionate, good priced and does not feel big. If you don't care about petrol price, go buy one!
